What do I need to do first?

You need to be a registered user before you can begin buying on fbrauctions.com. We will email you important information that must be used to validate your account. You can register online right now! Just click here!

Browse our auctions.

View the catalogs: Our upcoming auctions page contains a list of our current catalogs. To see the items contained within a catalog, click on the “View Lots” button to the right of the auction title. This will bring up a list of items for purchase.

Search our items: You can access our Advanced Search page by clicking on the “Search Auction Items” link found in our “Auctions” menu at the top of the site. On that page you can search by category, date, pricing estimate and keyword.

Bid on items.

There are numerous ways to bid at French Broad River Auctions depending on the type and circumstances of the auction.

Live bidding in person: Come to our facility, register to bid, and wave that bidder’s paddle!

Live bidding via phone: Contact us in advance of the auction to tell us you’d like to be a phone bidder. Before the items you’d like to win come up for bid, a French Broad River representative sitting in the auction hall will call you and bid for you based on your instructions over the phone. It’s as close to being in the auction hall as it gets.

Live bidding online: You can bid live right from this site or from our partner sites! As with all forms of bidding, you must be registered to bid prior to auction. You may also bid via third-party websites that host our auction.

To participate in our auction online clients have three options:

  • Register and bid on (www.fbrauctions.com) 15% buyers premium plus 3% credit card/internet fee, if applicable
  • Register and bid on Proxibid visit (www.proxibid.com) 20% buyers premium plus 3% credit card fee, if applicable
  • Register and bid on Liveauctioneers visit (www.Liveauctioneers.com) 20% buyers premium plus 3% credit card fee, if applicable

Absentee Bidding: Absentee bids are also referred to as sealed bids. These bids can be submitted to us via any number of means: our website, email, phone, or by mailing in an Absentee Bid Form.

Pay for your purchased items.

All pricing and payments are USD.

At the end of the auction all purchases will be charged to your credit card on file including buyer’s premium. A separate charge will appear for packing and shipping at a later date. North Carolina Residents will be charged 7% sales tax. Internet buyers will be charged for entire packaging and shipping costs. Everything is sold ‘as is’ and all sales are final.

Bidder hereby waives their right to initiate a charge-back on his/her credit card for any reason. Auctioneer reserves the right to charge your credit card at the drop of the hammer. Your invoice will be billed to your credit card following the auction. Any bidder who fails to comply with these terms will be subject to collections from an independent company along with any penalties and fees associated with the service.

Descriptions and condition reports are based on a visual inspection of the item. We have made no examination of any internal mechanical workings or firing mechanisms. You should have your firearms inspected and serviced by a qualified gunsmith.

Condition of Firearms/Ammunition:

FBRA or its’ employees or consultants make no warranties or representations whatsoever concerning the operation of firing condition, safety to store or reliability of any firearm or ammunition. Any firearms or ammunition purchased is at the user’s risk. FBRA expressly disclaims any liability whatsoever for accident, injury or damage resulting to any person or property from the storage or use of any such lot.

Shipping:

All firearms must be shipped to the FFL Licensee of the buyer’s choice. All shipping and handling cost will be charged to the buyer and is calculated as the cost of shipping + $10 handling fee. No firearm will be shipped until a signed copy of the FFL licensee is emailed to French Broad River Auctions, LLC or a copy is delivered via the USPS.

Any cost of transfer charged by the buyer’s FFL licensee will be the responsibility of the buyer. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND WHEN PURCHASING AMMUNITION THAT IT IS HEAVY AND THAT THE SHIPPING & HANDLING MAY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE.
